A children’s museum is a space where children can learn through play! Engaged, hands-on play is essential for developing minds. It sparks curiosity, nurtures creativity, and encourages a lifelong love of learning.  Enriching, open-ended play opportunities are especially critical for economically disadvantaged children – the very children who are least likely to have access to high quality play experiences.

All of our exhibits are designed to be open-ended and interactive.  They are simple, but encourage the type of play that can have lasting benefits.  They are STEAM based, but intended to convey simple Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math concepts through exploration, rather than instruction or written description. For example, we introduce simple machines through a magnetic pipe wall. A child will notice that a ball rolls faster down a more steeply inclined plane. Many of our exhibits are designed to encourage children to compare, infer, analyze, or record their observations.
